Get Involved!
Volunteer
Volunteers can assist with training exercises by serving as “missing people” for our dogs. As a volunteer, you will be assigned a location to hide while our K9 teams work to find you. These training scenarios help our dogs develop and maintain the skills they rely on during real-world searches!
Requirements
No prior experience is necessary. Volunteers should:
- Be able to walk on uneven terrain and natural surfaces
- Be comfortable spending time outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Follow instructions from training staff and K9 handlers
- Be willing to remain in a designated location during training exercises
What to Expect
Training locations may include parks, wooded areas, fields, and other outdoor environments. Weather conditions vary throughout the year, so volunteers should dress appropriately for the season and terrain.
Interested in Helping?
Whether you can volunteer once or on a regular basis, your participation plays an important role in preparing our K9 teams for future search and rescue missions.

Use of Property for Training
We are always looking for new locations to train. Access to a variety of environments helps prepare our dogs and handlers for real-world searches.
We welcome opportunities to train on:
- Wooded or rural properties
- Farmland and open fields
- Parks and recreational areas
- Vacant buildings
- Warehouses and industrial sites
- Commercial properties
- Junk or scrap yards
- Other unique training environments
Training exercises are planned, supervised, and conducted with respect for your property. We follow all site-specific rules and work to leave the area as we found it.
If you own or manage property and are interested in supporting our team, please contact us to discuss.
